HIs request was a pair of sandals, to which Adamas staunchly refused, convinced the trickster would use them for another of his nasty deeds. Grieved by the dragon's death, Adamas devoted to giving a new life to the dragon through an artificial heart. Heart completed, Adamas put it to Kaldius, and so the dragon opened his eyes and took flight. However, Kaldius started attacking the nearing villages with his flames. While Adamas had reanimated the dragon, he couldn't breathe new life into him, as Kaldius' heart had been lost. The dragon's rampage continued across the land, which was noticed by a saddened Imhokiel, who built a gate at the edges of the world, and finally trapped the dragon there. Adamas and Kaldius forged a weapon, while a reluctant Bartlett lended his flying silver sandals to Marigan. Descending from the heavens, Marigan made appearance wielding the divine armaments and readied to face the Infernal. The Infernal shook with laughter when he saw him. "You think such a puny being as yourself can defeat me?" It roared. But that laughter would turn to be the Infernal's dying breath, for in a flash Marigan cut the Infernal seven times, splicing its body in eight pieces. The sailor's warship set from Sugar LIghthouse to the Charybdis, but alas, the outcome was fated to be tragic. The ship did not maneuver in the currents of the Charybdis as expected and soon it was infested by an endless stream of Infernals. Soon the ship sank into the seabed and the souls of the sailors were to come into possession of the wicked ones. The mermaid came and begged for them not to take their souls, and the Infernals agreed, but they did with the condition of letting the mermaid come under their control. For the sake of the sailors, the mermaid accepted and so the Infernals took over her appearance and heart, disfiguring her. The Infernals kept their promise and did not claim the sailors' souls. But the sailors could not let go of their earthly life and instead of ascending, they became a ghost ship that has wandered the seas ever since. Witnessing this, the aching Spirituals iluminated one of the lighthouses, pushing and sealing the Infernals into the Charybdis.
