Souji does not get much canonical characterization in Romancing SaGa 2 itself, but he does get some interesting bits of dialogue in Romancing SaGa Re:univerSe. It is mentioned that despite his incredible sword skills and power, his body is extremely sickly and frail. This is likely a reference to how his RS2 form has some of the highest STR and SPD stats in the game, but only a single LP, making him a very risky unit to use.
