Tukuz (トゥクツ,Tukutsu?) is one of the Celestials in SaGa Scarlet Grace. He is the Celestial of nomadism and of livestock. He is the one that gave people the teachings to commune with animals and the skills to make use of their blessings through the elaboration of tools; skills that played a crucial role for the foundation of the Empire.[1]
Tukuz's constellation depicts a figure forming the head and the leg of a goat, with its associated elemental affinity being Unda.
Tukuz is depicted as an antropomorphic blue goat wearing several pieces of armor. On a hand he wields a blade-like object which may be his divinity symbol.
Personality[]
Not much is elaborated on Tukuz's personality, other than he was a rather naive individual in the story told by the Minstrel.
Etymology[]
Tukuz's name originates from the Japanese lecture (Tokketsu) of the term "突厥" which was one of the names given to the nomadic state formed by ancient Turkic people in Central Asia during the 6th century. This group was also known as the Blue Turks, which may have also inspired the colouring of Tukuz.
Tukuz is protagonist of the story told by the Minstrel in Provincia Kei. In this story Tukuz was tricked by the Firebringer into thinking that it was him who was killing and eating his own cattle during his sleep, and not the Wicked One.
Gameplay[]
Benison[]
